Abderrahim Semlali

For decades, Aberahim Semlali (born in Fez, Morocco, in 1966) has ranked with the very top players of Arab-Andalusian music and Middle Eastern sharqi. He grew up in the royal city of Fez, going on to study there at the conservatory. Later he played in the first violins with both the prestigious Fez city orchestra, and the Moroccan Philharmonic. Since coming to the Benelux, he has accompanied top performers from North Africa and the Middle East in a number of leading venues.
